Libby Pierce, Worship Pastor

Libby grew up as a missionary kid in Mexico City, Mexico where her parents served as church-planters for 14 years. Coming from a very musical family, she grew up playing multiple instruments as part of her education and served in the music ministries of her churches.  Throughout her entire life, musical expression has been intimately woven into the normal experience and pursuit of her relationship with Jesus.

When Libby was 16 her family moved to Kansas City, where she attended Raytown High School and then William Jewell College to study music with a vocal performance emphasis. While at college she met Layman, marrying in 2005, and serving alongside each other in professional ministry for 14 years. They have 3 children, Lexi, Lainy, & Lawson, who are budding musicians as well. Libby operated a private music studio for over 20 years and founded 3 music groups that continue to perform all over Kansas City.

Libby loves leading worship through music and was thrilled to join the Crossroads Staff in the fall of 2025. It is a joy to get to serve God’s people in using the beautiful gift of music as a means to glorify our Creator. Libby enjoys musicals, fitness, travelling, hiking, jigsaw puzzles, and movie nights with the family.
