Andrew Elrod, Media Arts Director
Andrew Elrod grew up attending Westside Christian Church in Coffeyville, Ks., where his dad, Mike Elrod, has served as minister for more than 25 years. Life on the family’s little country farm was always full of adventure — with chickens, ducks, goats, horses, dogs, cats, and even a few pigs (though they didn’t last long!).
Andrew attended Tyro Community Christian School. Fun fact: his mom was even his first-grade teacher! In high school, Andrew discovered his passion for digital media — photography, videography, and graphic design quickly became his creative outlet. He loved using these gifts to tell stories and share God’s message.
After high school, Andrew planned to attend Ozark Christian College but decided to start at Coffeyville Community College to complete his general education classes. While there, he joined the sports broadcasting team and worked in the college’s marketing department. His creativity and hard work led to a full-time position after graduation, where he continued to serve on the marketing team for five years. During that time, he also helped build his home church’s online presence and assisted several churches in the Coffeyville area with launching online services and providing technical support.
When he’s not behind a camera or a computer, Andrew loves traveling — especially visiting his brother and sister-in-law on the North Carolina coast or heading to the Rocky Mountains for skiing, jeeping, and camping adventures. And if his mini Aussiedoodle, Elli, can tag along, that makes the trip even better! He also enjoys Royals games and has yet to experience a Kansas City Chief game.
