Kurt Witten – Lead Pastor

Kurt was born & raised in Miami, OK. He was blessed to grow up in church, and was always active serving and participating wherever he could. He graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 2005 with a BA in Journalism, but God had other plans.

After teaching high school & coaching girls’ soccer for five years, he left the education field to attend Ozark Christian College and enter ministry. After finishing his BA in Bible and Ministry from Ozark in 2014, he did a residency at Christ’s Church of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ, while earning a Masters from Johnson University. Kurt was the Senior Pastor at Redwood Christian Church in Grants Pass, OR, from 2016-2021. While serving there, he completed a Masters of Divinity from Hope International University.

His personal ministry mission statement comes from the words of Jesus in John 20:21: “As the father has sent me, so I am sending you.” He has a desire to bring a full life to others, to serve others, and to seek and save the lost. His greatest passion in life is studying God’s Word and teaching those truths to anyone who will listen.

Kurt has been married to Jennifer since 2009. They have three kids: Elsie, Amelie, and Titus. He enjoys watching sports – especially his Oklahoma Sooners, St. Louis Cardinals, Sporting KC, and the Chiefs. His hobbies include cooking/smoking, traveling, hunting, and golfing. You can usually find him at the soccer or baseball fields watching his kids play, or watching them at orchestra or band concerts. He enjoys sitting around a fire pit and watching Star Wars.
